about

Night Creatures calls us to remember the times we've spent with friends around the camp fire, singing songs and letting the energy from nature surround us.

lyrics

Bare dancing feet.

There's smoke in my eyes and smoke in my lungs.
We dance by the fire like innocent ones.
We're partly to blame for the noise in the night.
Casting wild shadows against the firelight.

The forest at dark known to shift in shape and we're the only source of light in a mystery scape.
We let go of fear of what creeps in the night.
What's out of mind is out of sight.

Wild night creatures, the moon and stars are teachers.
Awake you dark shadow seekers, come into the light.

There's smoke on my tongue and smoke in my hair.
The fire's getting brighter the longer I stare.
I could stay here with all the laughter and drums.
I could stay here untill the morning light comes.

There's a thinning of the line between what's real and what's not.
Discovering the difference of what's lived and what's taught.
I open my mind and I close my eyes.
And I pray out loud for all night creatures to rise.

There's smoke on my mind and smoke in my bones.
It seeps into the ground between the sticks and the stones.
My roots dig deep into the dirt as they grow.
There's something about it that cleans me so.

There's smoke in the earth and smoke in the air.
The creatures of the night have answered our prayer.

Bare dancing feet.

An honest, quirky stage presence and their unbottled chemistry, quickly connects them with their audience. The line between the stage and the crowd becomes blurred as if we’ve all pulled up a seat around their family’s lively kitchen table.. ... more
